Stephanie Malin joined the TRA team as a Project Analyst in 2016. At TRA, she helps to implement safety and security oversight programs for transit agencies and state governments and conducts research on industry best practices related to operations and safety. She has a background in transportation policy and the interaction between transit and communities, particularly with regards to health and inclusivity. Stephanie has conducted research on the effects of urban sprawl and how complete streets and transit can ameliorate the negative effects of this development trend. She has worked in the public sector, in transit related positions and otherwise, at the local, state, and national level. Stephanie holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a concentration in State Government and the Built Environment from the University of Delaware, where she also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy.
Stephanie is a native New Yorker and in her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring cities, riding her bicycle, and playing Ultimate Frisbee. She speaks Spanish and has lived for short periods of time in Costa Rica and Spain and hopes to further explore Central and South America.
