Zach Billet joined the TRA team as a Project Analyst in 2016. At TRA, he helps to implement and improve system safety plans and procedures for transit agencies and state governments. Zach presently contributes to projects in the areas of rail transit safety and security, state safety oversight, rail maintenance and operations, and rule compliance. He provides support to the Pennsylvania Rail Transit Safety Review Program, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and the Washington D.C. Street Car. Zach has a background in transportation planning, as well as political organizing and management. He earned a Master’s of City Planning with a concentration in transportation and infrastructure from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Rochester.
Zach is a Philadelphia native and has enjoyed riding SEPTA since his was a kid. He enjoys exploring cities by rail and bike to learn about their history and appreciate their cuisine.
