TRA Project Manager Anthony Ferraro focuses on state safety oversight program administration, safety rules compliance, policy development, corrective action implementations, and FTA-mandated audits, among others. Anthony has over 15 years of public transportation research and consulting experience, and he provides significant contributions to oversight programs in Florida, the New York City region, and Pennsylvania, among others. Prior to joining TRA, Anthony conducted transportation research at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa where he contributed to projects in public transit safety, planning, maintenance, and operations; alternative fuels and transport modes; and bicycle, pedestrian, and motorcycle safety programs. Anthony earned a Master of Public Health at USF and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the State University of New York – Buffalo.
A native of western New York and a long-time resident of west central Florida, Anthony cherishes visits to both regions, which often include seeing two- and four-legged old friends, exploring historic landmarks, canoeing natural springs, enjoying locally favorite cuisine, listening to bluegrass music under live oak trees, celebrating pirate invasions, and cheering for the Buffalo Bills.
