Director, Systems Engineering
Daniela Amores is an experienced Systems Engineer with extensive background in both the public and private transit and rail sectors. Daniela has been instrumental in rail systems integration, construction and wayside installation on major projects on both coasts, and excels at coordinating technical staff, internal departments, contractors and subcontractors. Daniela’s areas of expertise include Traction Power, Signals, Operations Management, Systems Integration, Construction Management, Project Coordination and Contract Management. Prior to joining TRA, Daniela worked in a variety of roles including several new construction rail projects with Mass. Electric Construction, and Project Management of the Caracas’ light rail design with TYLin. Most recently, Ms. Amores served as Miami-Dade Transit’s Chief of Train Control and Traction Power, the youngest individual to hold this position
Daniela is a graduate of Brown University and holds an Executive MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. She is fluent in English and Spanish, with conversational proficiency in French. She once learned Swahili for a trip to Kilimanjaro, but is a bit out of practice!
