TRA team members recently provided incident investigation training to executives, managers, and supervisors at a U.S. commuter rail agency. TRA Vice President Daniel Hauber and Project Analyst Daniel Gardella worked closely with agency personnel to develop a training course tailored to the agency’s needs. The end product was a dynamic training that incorporated industry best practices delivered by the TRA team. Participants in the training came from all levels and departments within the agency. During the training, the TRA team drew upon diverse skill sets and backgrounds to share important lessons with the group. With over 20 years of industry experience, Daniel Hauber provided insights on how thorough incident investigations can be used as proactive tools to uncover potential issues throughout an organization before another incident occurs. Daniel Gardella shared examples from his previous experience as a defense attorney when discussing how to optimally conduct interviews. The team also took a creative approach using a classic AC/DC song to illustrate critical report writing tips, and have a little fun along the way.
