From 2001 - 2016, TRA provided SCCTD with state safety oversight consulting services, including conducting pre-revenue service assessments on new lines, conducting triennial reviews of both the Illinois and Missouri segments of the Metro system, and providing as-needed technical assistance related to these reviews.
TRA’s technical and audit services covered all state safety oversight technical areas, including system safety functions (including accident investigation, safety certification, corrective action plans, internal audit oversight, and hazard management), rail operations, training, infrastructure maintenance (including track, signals, traction power, and stations), rail vehicle maintenance, and system security. In addition to planning, coordinating, and executing on-site reviews, TRA was responsible for written audit reports, checklists, and related project deliverables.
