TRA has provided more than a decade of on-site support to ODOT in conducting safety and security reviews for the Tri-Met MAX and Portland Streetcar systems, including performing Triennial Safety and Security Reviews for both systems, as well as Pre-Revenue Service Reviews of the ongoing expansions of both systems.
For the MAX, this has included extensions along Interstate Avenue, Interstate 205, and the Portland Mall; for Portland Streetcar, this has included the expansions of the system along the Southwest Waterfront and the East Side. For all reviews, TRA has prepared detailed written reports containing practical and tangible findings to help improve the overall safety and security programs for both transit agencies.
